Hamilton Police Arrest Male for Derogatory Statement Shouted at Reporter

The Hamilton Police Service investigated an incident where a male shouted a sexually explicit phrase at a CHCH Reporter while she was conducting a roadside interview. The male has been arrested and charged with Cause Disturbance.

The Hamilton Police Service investigated an incident where a male shouted a sexually explicit phrase at a CHCH Reporter while she was conducting a roadside interview. The male has been arrested and charged with Cause Disturbance.

On Friday, November 25, 2017 shortly before 3:00p.m. a CHCH reporter was conducting an interview in front of Police Headquarters, 155 King William Street. At that time a passenger in a motor vehicle that was travelling along King William shouted out, “F.H.R.I.T.P.”. An on-duty police officer was present, heard the remark and arrested the passenger for Cause Disturbance.

Fawaz Abudhamad (23 years old) from Maryland U.S.A. was arrested with his Bail Opposed.

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to attend court on Monday, December 4, 2017.
