Police investigating as many as three recent shootings in same area of Surrey, B.C.
Surrey RCMP have investigated two different instances of shots fired in the same area since last Friday, and are presently on scene at another nearby location.
Police are stopping traffic at 73 Avenue and 192 Street in the neighbourhood of Clayton, just to the west of Langley, after an incident around 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday.
It comes several hours after shots were fired at a vehicle and garage door in the 7000 block of 180 Street, a short distance away.
“The vehicle was occupied at the time and thankfully no injuries were reported. The suspect was on a motorcycle that fled the area prior to police arrival,” said Surrey Cpl. Scotty Schumann in a statement concerning the midday incident.
On Friday, gunfire stuck three homes around the 6800 block of 196 Street, also in the Clayton neighbourhood.
As part of that investigation, police found the weapons, explosives and drug production materials.
Surrey RCMP have not yet said if this third incident is connected to the shots fired on Friday or on Tuesday.
